Front engine tins.
As my 52 gets closer to coming home from paint I’m starting to gather the engine sheet metal up. I have two front tins. I know both are for throttle rod cars my 52 was early enough to still have a cable. I also know either would work but my main question is what is the hole for that is circled in green? The holes circled in red are VW throttle and choke cable.

Fuel line. Don't know why the black one does not have the hole.

Thanks Vic The fact that the other was missing the hole was throwing me off. That and the fact that the fuel line didn't line up.

That make sense for the fuel line. Same place it would be on a 25/36hp tin
Thanks

Yeah Tony, both those tins you have are later than 1953 at least.
