About half-way down the page Greg linked are details Eric.Eric Marshall Green wrote:How do I post pictures?
Depending on the size of your original files you may want to downsize them using Paint or other photo editor as it's slow loading a 500 meg file. I usually downsize my originals to around 600 to 1000k and save them on my computer as a different name so I still have the full resolution photo. When I browse the folder with the photos I use the smaller file to post.

Hopefully this will be a photo of my father's 1952 coupe.

Re: My Father's 1952 Coupe
You guys are in trouble now. I've created about 600 pages about my father and as well about myself and my road years because of my father. Animal Media is supposed to turn it into a movie. You can watch the award winning trailer on the site. I did this because I want people to know who my father was. He died alone and poor and forgotten. That did not seem fair. Every piece of paper made in the world is hugely affected by my dad's 13 inventions in the paper industry. Cheers!
quantumrun356.com. But if you just stick my name and 356 in any search engine, it pops up. LOTS of rare photos. My dad was Briggs Cunningham's friend so a bunch of Briggs's cars.

Can anyone tell me the car, color, place, owner, year, and who took the photo? That is my father Marshall Green touching the car.

Thought you Pre-A guys might enjoy these. My father took these photos so please credit Marshall Green. The color photo is from an original brochure. No idea who took that photo.

Re: My Father's 1952 Coupe
I have LOTS of Gmund coupe photos as well, but I have no interest in Gmund coupes and find them rather ugly. My personal obsession with Porsche are the Reutter built cars from 1952 through 1959. I can kind of stomach the 60 and 61 356B since I grew up in that car, but barely, and I think the Speedster (for a 356) is simply a mistake unless you really do want to race it on the weekend. Why did Ferry put the ignition key on the right side of the steering column on the Speedster? Notice all the other true 356s have it on the left because of their Le Mans participation.

Re: My Father's 1952 Coupe
I agree that the Gmund coupes are kind of ugly but I like them anyway. I am always amazed that such a small amount of tweaking turned that shape into what we all love so much. The first try was pretty good considering how long ago it came about, and under such difficult conditions.

Martin, yes, I completely agree, so little change made such a MASSIVE difference. For me the 1956 356 A might be a near perfect design. Also about the only really feminine design out go all the quick sports cars.
So, what year?

I'l say 1956 since the rocker panels are not curved like the pre-A.Eric Marshall Green wrote:So, what year?
