i m excited about my freshly rebuilt 32 pbj solex's by Joe Ruiz. So i thought i would share. They
run as good as they look no more flat spots while accelerating.
and they actually return to the same idle speed when i let off the gas now .. They were quite worn out and sloppy. all new bushings shafts and so on
could not be happier with them.

Good to hear, Ned! It really increases driving pleasure when they are working correctly. Drivability of mine is a good as my 993 and 991 (albeit slightly slower ).

Ned,
Some questions as I may need mine rebuilt:
Were they fully setup (proper jets, float levels, etc.) so you only had to installed them? Any fuel seeps where the tops fit the body? Were the fuel inlet banjo bolt threads in the tops helicoiled? Did you have yours rebuilt and, if so, how long was the turnaround time?
Thanks,
David

yes they were totally set up. i didn't check for a heli coil, i don't think so.. a week turn around all the mating surfaces were planed and check the carbs were all dialed in Joe ran then on a test motor prior to my installing.. The only thing i needed to do was bolt them down and connect the cross linkage then dial in air balance while at an idle . from box to driving took about 10 minutes.
im very happy with them . they run as good as they look .

Hi Ned,
I'm glad to hear your car is running as it should now. Here are some SOLEX 32 PBIC's. I also do the SOLEX 40 PBIC and PICB.
