heater vent

#1 Post by Mike DeJonge »

I am in the process of getting all the materials ready for a pre A speedster and I need one item I have not been able to locate. I need two of them, anybody know where to get them?
it is the round heater vent, round item that clips to carpet vent down by the foot well. see attached picture, it has a big cork stuck in it

Hi Mike,

Is this for your '54 Speedster?
If so, that car originally had sliding covers over the warm air outlets.

Heater slides in the 356 Speedster were superseded by the round trim rings on the carpet c. 80400.

hi mike

according to the speedster book the round heater vent is out of steel.
IF you need the steel vent it can be found here: restorationpanels.com.
the splitpartsunlimited is out of aluminium.
