It looks little different from the earlier part, but it now saves those with mechanical tachs nearly $300.00; you no longer have to replace the mechanical tach-drive gear with the later electrical tach-drive part. By moving dimensions back and forth, we've found enough space to accommodate the earlier part:

I hasten to add that it still requires an electrical tach; between the lump of the tach-drive, the filter and the muffler, there is simply no way to get all three in there. Something has to give and the tach head is the cheapest.If you like your gear, you can keep your gear!
