944 Style Scissor Jack

#1 Post by Al Zim »

944 Style Scissor Jacks made in the USA. These steel jacks are one ton rated and can easily be stored by the spare tire. More reliable that the factory original jacks since they are operated by a screw mechanism. We suggest that you use the jack just in front of the rear torsion bar under the car this will lift the side of the car enabling you to change both tires. With any jack you carry in your car, Zim's suggests that you carry a 2ft by 2ft piece of half inch plywood to put under the jack for support. Use a wheel chock to keep the car from rolling. Nice job Al! I wonder what the original aluminum models would lift? Excellent use recommendations by the way.
