Gauging interest, 356C electric diagram IN COLOR

#1 Post by Manuel Campuzano »

I'm considering printing a few 356C electric diagrams in color, as you know, the series "C" electric diagram was only produced in B/W. Besides making it much more attractive, working with the actual cable colors makes this a more valuable tool for electric installations and repairs.

The final size would be tabloid (11 X 14"), high resolution digital printing. If enough members are interested, I'll print them.

Please PM me if interested.

Thanks
Manuel

There certainly is value in a color diagram for each model; every restorer should have one and pay a good price for it. The only existing Porsche Factory one in color is not adequate in most cases. There were factory b & w diagrams from Pre-A thru 356C including two Carrera versions in workshop and drivers manuals. If pre-printed, the color versions must be 12 x 17 " to be easy to use. Or, if a CD is sold, then you could take it to your local blueprint shop and have large print made for your wall.

I'm with Brad regarding the size of the poster. For those of us with aging eyes, larger is better. I'd love to see one 2' X 3'. Or even larger. A good quality image on a CD would allow one to print any size desired.

It is not a copy of the 356 B series diagram, it is a genuine research into the correct colors of the 356 C series wiring. It took me a long time. The file is a pdf, vector based, so it can be printed in any size. I printed tests in high resolution laser in letter and tabloid size, also made a poster size one for a friend's shop to aid in his 356 restorations (2 cabrios).

Anyone who is familiar with the Early 911S Registry knows the quality of my products, this one is the same.

The color 356 C electric diagram is based on the original B/W made by Porsche, so the drawing is identical, except it has the correct colors, so its as if Porsche had really made the original diagram in color.

Manuel-You might consider adding the fuse values for 12 volt systems. Nice drawing, and now I know what vector drawings add. Curt

Hi Curt, in my original B/W diagram I don't have those values. I meant to replicate exactly Porsche's diagram, in color. The 12V values are present in the original B/W and in my color diagram.

Next week I will define costs for letter, tabloid and poster size (test being made on poster size quality).

I have a poster from YnZ for the 1956-1959 Porsche 356A. It's 24" x 18" in color. Price is $22.95. I put in a plastic frame with a clear plastic cover. Looks great in my office and it's a really good size to easily see what's what.

If cost is not too high, the larger size would be great for us "older" guys.

How close is the C chart to the B chart? Obviously the electric tach makes a difference but can those of us with B T6's use the C electrical diagram?
