Test drive the new WR2132cc engine at North Meets South

#1 Post by John Willhoit »

WR 2132cc 356 ENGINE

Some of you may have seen our new engine on the test stand at the WR Open House in March. It's an (almost) completely stock looking engine which uses our 91mm piston and cylinders, and our new 82mm stroker crank and special Carrillo rods. It's a very mild mannered street engine that produces 161hp@6100rpm and 157lb-ft or torque at 4600rpm.
It's a bullet proof design that has been extensively dyno tested, and has now logged over 500 miles of street testing.

The engine is now temporarily installed in Keith Hoffnagle's 65 C Coupe and will be going to the North Meets South event in two weeks. Keith has graciously offered to allow test drives of his car on Saturday afternoon. If you're interested in having us build an engine for you, or you'd just like to experience what a 356 feels like with an extra 65lb-ft of torque, this is your chance.

To sign up for a test drive please call Willhoit Auto Restoration (562) 439-3333 or email john@willhoitautorestoration.com.

The test drive experience will be limited to the first 12 people.

Good grief,

I have the WR2002CC 356 ENGINE in my 1800 pound coupe and it is wicked.
This should eclipse mine, at 142 HP and 141 lb ft torque.
Now with 6000 miles and running strong.

Thanks John,

Norm

I am the lucky one that got to ride up and back in the WR2132CC test car, to North meets South (about 500 miles). I also drove the car for about an hour.
Believe me when I say, "this is one unbelievable torque monster".
Smooth and hard pulls through all four gears.
These cars were meant to have this kind of horsepower and torque!
Congratulations John, on the "Product of the Decade" (in my humble opinion).
