Adam:
Your article is far too kind! No charge for autographs.
The commute is the real hang-up
Lake McCarthy is no more. We've spent the kid's inheritence on a new driveway, retaining wall and front walk. Paving is awaiting the arival of O&G Construction. See attached. Woop's, "file is too big"

Adam,
Congrats on the new shop! When you get it re-organized, keep it organized. Don't let it turn into a future episode of "American Pickers"!

Re: Unobtanium is moving!
Tim-
That is what we are hoping for, a clean slate. We spent a month building a loft and lots and lots of shelves, big shelves, little shelves, deep shelves, shallow shelves, metal shelves, wood shelves, it went on and on and on. We even built permanent stairs to the attic for sheet metal and other big but not super heavy stuff. The shop was cut up strangely, a large shop with lift for working on buses (30 foot ceilings), but also had 3 apartments, which we retro-fitted into offices and storage. But we have a couple of rooms we are not sure what to do with, like the jacuzzi tub (2 person, possibly 3) that is in a pink marble bathroom. WTF?????
All in all a great shop and the local police are across the street.

The oldest maxim in the garage world:
Whatever space you have,...you will fill it.
Sometimes with treasures, sometmes with junk,
sometimes it takes a lifetime,..
but you will fill it.

Re: Unobtanium is moving!
So the move is happening, another truckload down, a million more to go.
We did get all the wheels moved, but that took up most of the truck. So all you guys who have been asking me about wheels, I should get them sorted this week and can start selling again. They look nice on the new wheel shelf we built.

Re: Unobtanium is moving!
Another truckload down, we are getting within sight of all the parts.
Also, I got a few emails from some of you guys that my talking about moving was a big ad for my business so I wanted to clear the air. I keep posting that we are moving so I can hold off a lot of you guys who call me looking for parts, it was about 15-20 calls a day before I starting posting about the move. Now I am only getting 2-3, saving me and all you guys time.
I like to help people out when they need parts and there is nothing more gratifying than knowing you were a part of a restoration or getting a car back on the road. But I hate it when people call me and I can't help them, because all of our parts are packed up and in two different places.

Re: Unobtanium is moving!
Adam,..you post enough normally to be a non stop ad for your business, haha. ..as well as being so well known that people just refer to you as "Adam"...with no other explanation. Now how in the world could someone get in a twist about you posting about moving? Your response, while logical, polite, and reasoned, was not necessary. Anyone who knows about customer service would recognize the consideration of "notice".

Re: Unobtanium is moving!
Okay, looks like we got the last truckload before the winter snows hit. So all you guys who have been hammering me for parts, give me until the first of the year to sort and please start calling again. Sorry for all the delays.

Bags of wood chips?
Or,..the long shot guess...a pellet stove?
Glad to see you beat the snow. It was in the mid sixties here lately.
