New "HS" magnet

#1 Post by Ron LaDow »

Until now, the Pre Mat 616 Sump Plate ( http://precisionmatters.biz/356-sump-plate-w-plug.php ) had a "low temp" ND magnet which began to degrade at 180*F, well within the operating range of our engines. It remained much stronger than the stock unit, but under very prolonged use, it could become questionable.
We recently located and contracted for some special-order "HS" ND magnets which do not begin to degrade until they reach 300*F. I'm going to say they will NOT degrade in any use where the engine continues to function, no matter how long you run the car.
They do, however, come with a 'special' price, so to recover the addition, we have raised the price of the part some 10%; the new price is $132.90.

Hello Ron, since you have no other method listed of contacting you, I'm trying this one. Are you going to have a booth at Rennsport next week, and, if so, I'd like to buy one of your wheel balancing adaptor at that time.
Thanks,
Paul Lima

Paul,
Nope, not going to make it to Rennsport, but 415-252-1428 gets answered all West Coast business hours and maybe a bit more. Got those in stock.
Wes; maybe that ought to be directly below the logo...
Thanks to both of you.

Ron
Drill out the drain plug on your sump plate and put one in there also. A 10 x 10mm set 8mm deep works great. To clean it you just stick it to a seel plate and pull. The magnet and fuzz stays stuck and the drain plug stays in your hand. Clean the magnet and reinsert it plug.
