Your ad is going to expire - Classifieds question

#1 Post by jerry haussler » Wed Dec 28, 2016 2:53 pm

yesterday I received the "Your ad is going to expire" email. clicking the link took me to my ad w/ the usual message indicating that the ad had been updated.
in the past this process would bump to ad to (...or near) the first page of the classifieds. in this case... actually 2 cases... the bump did not occur.
is this a problem or a new way of doing business ?
inquiring minds want to know.

For at least a couple years now, the ad does not jump to the head of the line when renewed. You will have to recreate it to get it to the front. That's the way it was set up the last time the Classifieds was updated - I personally don't know the background of the decision.

I must be getting old. I recall ads bumping as recently as 2 or 3 months ago. this "feature" is one more in a long list of misguided decisions re: the Classified page.
