I have not received a daily Digest since 7 April. None are found in my "spam" folder. I just checked my Control Panel "Digests" settings and they are intact, but I went ahead and resubmitted my settings (daily HTML) without changing anything.

What gives?

Brian

Update:

The Forum admins inform me my e-mail provider Yahoo! (i.e. att.net) is blocking the Digest e-mails sent to me as "spam" with a delivery error code of "521". This is probably due to perceived "bulk mailing" activity, over which there are certain constraints, and the resulting minefield is something organizations including for-profit businesses must learn to navigate if they use bulk e-mail in their sales and marketing.

Note that this is not a result of me "blacklisting" or flagging as "spam" any digest e-mails - my Yahoo! mail blacklist is empty, and Digest e-mails are not turning up in my "spam" folder. The digests are being intercepted by att.net way farther upstream from my Inbox, and bounced back to the Registry as undelivered.

What's odd is the Forum admins inform me that I am the only subscriber from whom the Digests are "bouncing", even though there are many other subscribers who have e-mail address domains in the Yahoo! / att.net family. So why aren't we all being afflicted by this?

Here's what an att.net web page says about this:

----
http://www.att.net/general-info/521.html

A nondelivery report containing the error code 521 indicates that a specified mailing system is blocked because it has displayed behavior consistent with spamming or other forms of abuse of network resources. This behavior has been noted by our system, by other reputable monitors of network activity, or by both. If you think your IP has been misidentified as a source of spamming or other questionable behavior, we recommend taking the following steps:

1. Visit the websites of the third-party sources:

http://www.spamhaus.org/
http://ipremoval.sms.symantec.com/lookup/

If you are on either of these lists, follow the directions provided there for requesting removal.

AND . . .

2. Visit the page for requesting removal from the list we create:
http://www.att.net/general-info/bls_inf ... _admin.htm

----

I have personally determined that the Registry's domain and mail server IP are not listed in the two 3rd party databases listed above.

I have therefore requested Forum admins to follow up on this to try to remove the Registry domain from the att.net blacklist.

Brian

I also have been shut out of receiving all notifications and digest post since the 7th. I saw Brian's post about how to proceed, but the tat-blacklist link seems to go nowhere, "can not find server".
Hopefully it can be resolved soon. Steve

Most of the below will probably be not receiving the digest in the near future...
Customers of any of the AT&T consumer Internet services using the following domains:

att.net
ameritech.net
bellsouth.net
flash.net
nvbell.net
pacbell.net
prodigy.net
sbcglobal.net
snet.net
swbell.net
wans.net

Your current choices are:

Contact your isp and complain and if you can contact a person get them to make a change so that you can get your email.
Go to Porsche356registry.org and choose 356Talk Forum and read the Forum from the website and live without the digest.
Get a Gmail account.

This block is done by AT&T/Yahoo, we are not listed as a "spammer" on the major list.
There is nothing the Registry can do to remove the block on your individual accounts.

As I posted above, att.net says checking the "major" 3rd-party lists is the first step. FWIW there are actually 100+ 3rd-party lists, which I took the liberty to checked here (and none listed the Registry):

http://mxtoolbox.com/blacklists.aspx

Well and good. But what about step 2 - Request removal from the AT&T/Yahoo internal block list?

2. Visit the page for requesting removal from the list we create:
http://www.att.net/general-info/bls_inf ... _admin.htm

Not sure how it happened but the daily digest appeared this morning, first one since the 7th, thank you to all that worked to clear up the att based emails.
Sincerely, Steve Douglas

Everybody's went thru today, I am surprised that AT&T/Yahoo even reacted to my email. Who knows how long it will last.

Joe,

Thank you for your effort, and also your forbearance. I became the squeaky wheel for a time, not a role I enjoyed, believe me.

I have lost the digests again, last one was a May 5th. Guess Att, Prodigy in my case, strikes again.

What are Daily Digests? How do you sign up for them? Am I signed up for them? I don't know.

Looks like it's down for all ATT users...I have sent them another mail and as usual I am not optimistic about anything that ATT will do, it usually takes them at least two days to reply.

Pat, The daily digest is a compilation of all the posts from the previous day delivered at a time you specify in your profile. You've been on here for eight years and never signed up for this?
I have had this since the days of the old e-mail forum and read them every morning with my cup of coffee, over twenty years now, keeps me current on all of the topics being posted and a great learning tool. Sign up today, you won't regret it!

To get the daily digest, follow these steps
1. Click 'User Control Panel' at upper right
2. Click 'Digests' on Left side of page
3. Select Type of digest wanted - probably daily
4. Select Digest Styling - I use 'Plain HTML'; others may work, too
5. Select 'Hours sent' - note 24 hour clock times - I use 6 for 6:00am
6. Press 'Submit' to save your preferences.

You should now get the digest daily at 6am

Greg:

I fall into the catagory of not getting the digests from Sbcglobal. How does one change the email address that the digests will be sent to? I have changed the address on my personal profile to the gmail account but find no place to change the digest email address?

Thanks,

Mickey Murfee
