Let me first compliment all of those who have made so many contributions to the development and maintenance of the 356 Registry Website.

Tapatalk: Could someone please advise when the 356 Registry is going to interface the 356Talk Forum to Tapatalk. Tapatalk makes it very easy to read posts from Interest Group members and to communicate with IPADs and other handheld PDA devices. I do keep up with posts on the 356 by reading my daily email update but this does not update the site on what what posts I have already read.

Regional Forum sections: Other User Interest Groups maintain Forum sections for each geographic area so we can easily communicate events or issues specific to our region. It would made the web site easier to connect members in various regions.

Bob, I'll second your question. I use Tappatalk on a couple of other car club web sites that I visit, and it cetainly makes everything a lot easier to navigate.

After discussing with the web team and a knowledgeable member, Tapatalk will not be considered at this time due to resource constraints and the extra layer of complexity it would add to administration of the site.

Two years have passed since I originally asked about Tapatalk and almost every member now has a smart phone or a tablet.

So I think it is fair to ask if anyone is researching the implementation of Tapatalk?

If you have never heard of Tapatalk it is a really nice APP for anyone using a smart phone or a tablet which makes keeping up with every post convenient and easy. If we are trying to attract younger members we really should be thinking of ways to make access to our website easier. If you want to see how it works Download the APP to your smart phone or tablet then search and add 912bbs.org and you will see how easy it is to keep up and even add comments.

I just wanted to interject another viewpoint. I have used tapatalk at times in the past, and I always go back to using a browser - there is far too much spam about things I have zero interest in. I use Safari on iPhone and iPad and don't see any reason not to, they work great.
