Subject says it all - is there a way to do this? Thanks.

What types of email are you getting? What is the return email address?

When I ask for suggestions on parts, I would prefer to not get a bunch of emails from people selling them.

So I ask again - can I block unsolicited emails, yes or no? It's a very standard thing on most forums in which I participate (forums that don't cost anything, I might add). I can't believe there isn't a way to do this.

Perry, you can edit your Member Profile to make your email address "invisible" and then no one can email you through the website (Brian, is that correct?). Seems pretty drastic to me. If a vendor emails me saying they have a part for sale and I don't ask them to contact me, I find the delete button in my email program is pretty useful.

I don't think that's what that setting does. I think it just camouflages your email address (the way Craigslist works for instance).

I own a '59 coupe with VIN 105630 btw. Pretty close to yours.

We always have had a little trouble with this issue. It has to do with the way Chuck set up the two databases to merge. Users don't have access to the forum profile, it defaults to the main sites user profile which doesn't control the email button in the forum.

The forum admin can manually change your database setting to hide your email button. The downside is that no one will be able to contact you.

Brian - I'll just use Barry's method of handling it. Thanks.
