new topic posting

#1 Post by Albert Tiedemann » Sun Jun 12, 2011 4:44 pm

In recent posting I have noticed that the reponse area that you are able to view as you type disappears after a certain length of response. Has there been a word limit set on responses? If you continue to type, the message continues but you cannot see what you are typing.

One could always type off-line in another software and then cut and paste the total response, but that seems a round about way to do it as I have in the past when I have been timed out. Are there some anomalies in the software that have been discussed before? Or is this a local problem.

Hi Ab,

There is no word limit on posts.

What browser are you using? I have not experienced the problem you are describing.

I recommend using either the Firefox or Google Chrome web browsers.

Best regards,

Barry:

I use IE 8 on an XP machine and experience the same problem described by Ab. I should probably change browsers but I'm used to my stone age tools. Sigh.
