Jeffrey, please remember that I'm not native english so some
things are very difficult for me to express correctly.

Enclosed is a photo of the rear valance and the reflector is below
the rear bumper bracket opening.

About these brackets, removed front bumper and the brackets are
thick material and the bumper itself is thin. Wondering why this big
mismatch in material thickness. A strong bracket don't help a lot if
bumper itself is very weak. This is not criticism, just wondering.

Juha, your english and writing is better than than much of what we see from people here and is nothing to apologize for. I didn’t mean to criticize, I just don’t have an answer for this question. Has this been replaced during a restoration and therefore different materials were used than when the car was originally made?

Your reflectors look exactly like those on my T6 except newer and nicer.

Jeffrey, didn’t take your comment as critism. I just know
how hard it’s sometimes to explain some things correctly.

I believe the brackets and bumpers are original, the front
bumper mounting plates are rusted.

Have to search the web to see how rear nerf bars are
installed. The front look in my eye much nicer without
bumper. Therefore I want to remove the rear also.

The rear bars will attach the same way the fronts do. You remove the rear bumper and its support where it attaches to the chassis/frame and bolt the Nerf bars to where the bumper supports previously attached. You may have to re-drill the holes in Nerf bars support to line everything up the way you want the final position of the Nerf bar.

A variation for nerf bars/bumpers.
On my previous owned GT.
Still hanging in my shop's rafters.
These are solid steel and would stop a garbage truck.
These are for sale!

Hi Juha,

I've got a set in my garage, used them on my bt5. Please send me a message, will sell them. Sending from The Netherlands is possible I think.

Thanks Martin,

What I have read, these are for an A:
viewtopic.php?f=1&t=45561&hilit=nerf+bars#p305440

The front for a T6 should look like this:
viewtopic.php?f=1&t=45561&hilit=nerf+bars#p305466

Still wondering how the rear should look like because the reflector is just under the
opening for bumper bracket.

I specifically looked at the placement of my reflectors relative to the bumper bracket cutouts Juha, and your's look substantially the same as mine.

Juha, in case you haven't seen this yet, here's a link to a recent classified posting showing the rear positioning of the bumper support holes and the tail lights. Of course this is of a C and you have a B T6, but it's the best depiction of mounting relationships I've seen so far.

I just came across older F & B pictures of a C coupe with Nerf bars which will give you an idea of how they fit. Hope this helps you, Juha.

Yours look like they are in the right location Juha, maybe offset by a few centimeters, but should not interfere with the nerf bars. Why don't you go with the US setup and mount the reflectors above the tail lights?

Thanks Jeffrey for the link. This is of course a personal preference, but I don't really
like if the nerf bars come above the tail lights or the reflectors below. And moving the
reflectors above the tail lights is something I don't really like. They look somewhat odd
there. But of course this is my opinion only. Let's see what I come up with.
