Speedster Seats in a Coupe....Again.

#1 Post by marcsherriff »

Hi everyone.
I am after some help with what I need to install a set of Speedster seats in my coupe.
I have fiberglass seats, existing rails, speedster seat hinges, a pair of timber frames.

In an effort for the seats not to rip out of the car, during spirited driving:
1. What fittings do I use between the rails and frame, frame and hinges, hinges and seat?
2. Is there a specific measurement for hinge placement, that will maximise the seat's ability to tilt forward?
3. What are people using on the bottom rear of the seats? Rubber buffers? Adjustable feet?

I am vertically challenged, and went with the timber seats, as opposed to metal ones for the seat height I need.

Any assistance, greatly appreciated. Especially photos.

Thanks in advance.

You are saying that you need the seats as high as possible, opposite of the previous speedster seat questions?

Martin, not as high as possible, just not as low as the metal frames place the seat.
I am more interested in what fittings I need (screw/bolt sizes).
