Mystery "Porsche" seat
A friend of mine was clearing out an abandoned workshop and this seat came my way. He said it was Porsche but frankly I am a little skeptical - fiberglass /plastic frame for one, only 2 bolts for mounting in the middle; is it a replica Speedster seat perhaps - its well made in leather. Anyone any ideas...

It looks at first glance to be a cut down 914 seat (although it is a bit overstuffed). I have 2 914 seats that I also cut off the top headrest portion to make a poor man's outlaw speedster seat. The base looks the same except for the center nutserts which could have been added.

Thanks Paul and Jim, so it probably has a 914 heritage and I had PM as well suggesting exactly the same !). I think its going to be a man cave chair - well workshop chair - as I don't have a man cave ! Need to find nice way to mount it - maybe an old office chair base. If I can make it look half reasonable maybe it will even be allowed in the house
