Craig, don't kick me out for this, but I am restoring a VW Type II three door Transporter. It is a split window. Interestingly enough, the angle of the windshield is almost exactly the same as a Pre - A. So, I have installed a Pre - A dash in the truck, and it fits perfectly.

This is intended to be my new shop truck, and will sport "PORSCHE" on the sides, as some period trucks did back in the day.

I hope the fun never stops. ............... Jim

Rusty
Would love to see you at WCH. We drove to Santa Fe from Durango when a WCH was in Durango about 12 years ago. Went via Shiprock as I recall. Even bought a set of tires for the PreA at Model tire in Durango, which are now on Foam Car. If I can drive from northern MI, you can do it from Durango. We just booked a room at a hotel 2 blocks from H/Q for very reasonable rate.

Thanks Guys! Going to the WCH for sure! :D Just sent in my registration this morning! Sorry for the lack of photos Mark, I used to post TONS!!!! I take lots of photos on my I phone now but I don't know how to get them onto the computer and use them, not so good at that stuff!!! :D I drove my rig from Durango over to Telluride this weekend for a film festival and to meet up with some friends. Great drive and lots of compliments on the car! The bad news was I got my second hit and run since rebuilding my car :x :x This time they clipped the bottom of my hood and put a grapefruit size dent in the nose :( I have received plenty of scrapes and scratches but that is different then the dent and dash! I can fix it it is just annoying, I didn't even call my insurance though laughing to myself later I can imagine what this little dent "could" cost on an insurance claim?!?!!?! Oh and speaking of VW/Porsche mixes, I am going to check out an old 64 Bus with a 912 engine and Porsche rims (hopefully brakes) later this week! The price might be right and would love to use that engine for my other 59!

A quick and dirty way to get pictures off of your phone, depending on your phone and service, is to email the picture to yourself. Then you can open the picture and save it in a folder or on your desktop so you can find it easily. Most phones send the pics as .jpg files and give you a choice of size - just make sure its under 1 meg.
Hope this works for you

I usually uploading them from my iPhone to photobucket->then copy the image link and post it on thesamba or here on the Registry. Although not sure why that doesn't work on the 356 Registry anymore. All you see is the link now..

It works if you cut and paste ...

http://i224.photobucket.com/albums/dd98 ... us/329.jpg

... into the bar at the top

I think the links will automatically turn hot again when the web team finishes their updates.
