Emory or Dink Farmer outlaw

#1 Post by Larry Lineker »

Long time Pcar owner but first time 356 potential purchase. I have set my eyes on an outlaw but really have no clue as to where to start. Budget is open but more important to find one that will stand the test of time. I have two cars on my short list but honestly I am clueless and really need your help!!

Here are the links to the Emory and Farmer cars, advice etc would be very much appreciated !!

Thank you so much in advance

Welcome, Larry.
Either builder is a good choice. Your selection depends on what type of car you want.
Coupe: weather protection.
"speedster": open air motoring.

As with everything it is a matter of taste. For me the Emory cars have the "feel" of something the factory might have done. They seem to age well. Dink's cars are a bit more wild. It boils down to what you like. Instead of buying something already done you might talk to Rod and Gary and see if any build slots are available.

Thank you for the suggestions! - I'm definitely leaning coupe , I'll be keeping the car though at our winter home in California ( Indian Wells) so either open air or coupe wound work fine.

The Farmer has a 911 engine. That makes it very different from a 4-cylinder car.
