Ryan.

Those wheels look tuff. How did you do it?

Do you have lift the trunk to twist off the fuel filler. Looks a little tight.

Is the window rubber missing the trim or is it Cal-look volksie rubber?

Thanks, K

Matt,
Do you have a picture that has less of an elevation? Perhaps a more level angle? Are you still running drum's? Any fit issues? What size tire's?

Thanks

Stock Wheels But powder coated.

#21 Post by Sean Longhi »

I keep my original wheels, But after they were blasted, I powdercoated them clear. When metal is in the hot over, it sweats, and the clear powdercoating created a "slate" colour.
Its a bit odd, but never-the less, and idea for someone looking to go outside the box and be different.

993 Turbo S Spares

#22 Post by Robert Boyle »

I have Porsche 993 Turbo S spare rims on my C. At least I think that's what they are. The part number is for a 964 turbo, but I think Porsche may have carried that over to the 993 Turbo too. I just have a normally aspirated 993 and my rims are much uglier. They are pretty hard to find used. I have always had to build a set one tire at a time. Also, the spare tires are a real bear to get off and the rims are painted red from the factory. I love the look though so it's worth the extra work. Thanks to Rod Emory for the idea! The Porsche part number is 965 362 130 01.

Photoshop rendition of those 944Turbo spares on a C. They are light at 10.5 lbs. 5.5" x 15". The weight is a bit heavier than those (9.5lb?) 5.5" Mahle magnesium GasBurners.

They remind me of the old D Jag Dunlop wheels, and the center is somewhat reminiscent of the Rudge knock off's, sans the "un do's" (and more holes).

Look at the photos of the Dana Point cars, one car has these with polished rims.

Anyone ever notice photos of spoke or wire wheels on a 356?

I have a book with a photo. They look nice.

Thanks - Ryan
I have custom widened 6" wheels as well. Different offsets for the fronts/rears.
