Looking good Harry!

If you are still thinking about a 12V conversion, these articles might shed some light: https://porsche356registry.org/article/202 and https://porsche356registry.org/article/182
I thought there was a more comprehensive article on file but can't find one. Your wiper motor, clock, electric tach, generator, voltage regulator, light bulbs, and fuses would all have to be addressed in the conversion.

Finally, where are you going to find a 6 volt battery on the road these days?

NAPA offers a decent 6V sealed battery.

Beautiful!!! What's the total "mild outlaw"?
Batteries+ sells the 6V Optima. If you are concerned about cold performance, I just put in a Winterburn 6V CDI that works great and cranks down to I believe 4.5V.

PS My SMD headlights are great, albeit I wish they were a little more focused.

Removed hood handle, removed fixed antenna, add GT bumpers, 1963 Porsche silver exterior over black leather interior (original red/red), slight engine mods (none visible) to approx 100-110 HP, dynomat style insulation . . .lizard skin undercoat, all led lights . . .fuchs replicas 15x5.5 . . .dual master brake cylinder, 12v conversion . . .modern radio (classic look)

Reused all existing parts where possible . . . Extensive bodywork . . . The body required extensive rust repair . . replaced nose . . Floor pan, rear seat pans, lower door skin, hood panel, . . Restored to original by Andy Daughtery . . .

Chrome reused, replated . . .
New tinted glass
Haven’t decided on mirrors . . .old holes closed . . .leaning toward fender mount . . .

Lovely, can't wait to see the finished product! My kind of outlaw. Hope I can see it in person one day. What part of the country are you from, Harry?

Thank you for the kind word. Someone has suggested i should have labeled this topic ‘Rebuild’ instead f Restoration - and I think he is correct - therefor the change . . . The car will be brand new - with all existing parts that are reused completely refurbished .. . And those that cannot be refurbished being replaced.
