If it is going to have a racy and / or GT-like appearance, stone guards on. Nice touch

Hi Steve,
Going to set up the light trim for guards but leave them off except for special occasions. Also going to have Berlin Mirrors (Chrome) on the fenders . . .

Hugo/Harry,

With regards to your question about factory hood insulation.

There was hood insulation on the roof, here is a picture of mine after I reinstalled it.

The original marks from the headliner bows are visible, a good indication for correct placement.

I also used dynamat on every part of the car.

Eric,
Can we see finished photos?
My car may have had the previous headliner replaced. When I stripped it, there was insulation. Thanks for the information.

Harry,

Sorry may have picked you up wrong, this is the car almost completed, and fitting the engine which is a 912 with a few nice internal parts. The rusty one was how it started.

Hi Eric,
I was just interested in seeing different photos of your car. I wasn’t looking for anything specific.
By the way, have made one trip to Dublin and drove the southern part of the country. You are in Northern Ireland, correct?

Headliners are a little tricky, but it looks like you are doing a great job. A zillion clips, and settling time, the best way to do it. I wonder how the factory did it so well, probably in a couple of hours, what we could do in a couple of days, spread out over some weeks.
