Harry that outlaw you posted is pretty slick. Not a fan of the frenched license plate but the black trim looks pretty sharp on a silver car. I've been toying with someday trying black vent grills. It's a neat look but wish I had a darker color than white. I bet it's stunning in gray.

Which is a long way of saying: I like your inspiration! :)

Don't care for the Frenched plate either . . . My idea of outlaw is the kind of modifications I would have made if I had bought the 356C new and made some mild updates/improvements.

Just another red on red Porsche? No way, that is rare as all get out. You should keep those colors; it's a fantastic combination, like an early Corvette. My car is ruby red on black, and I would love to have red on red.

I have a 63B coupe and am going to convert to 12 volt w/55 amp alternator. Why? The current 6 volt is maxed out as is. I want more and it is very doable but not inexpensive! FWIW, most cell phones will charge on a 6 volt system. Valentine One Radar detector will not fire up at 6v. SMD headlights work way better than original incandesant bulbs but think they will be better at 12 volts. Finally, where are you going to find a 6 volt battery on the road these days?
Conrad

Hint..if you are going 12 volt, have your gauge restoration company convert electric gauges to 12 volt now! Will save you a ton of $'s later!!

You are going to dual master cylinder aren't you? Kasse has a nice kit. Without has a nice short-throw shift kit (don't forget to get new shift coupling).

Definitely going dual master. Hopefully this will be my driver . . . Even though the quality of the restoration is intended to be 'like new' with personal modifications

What do i do to make things right? Last year I bought a 64 Coupe, with great excitement joined the Registry, and started the 'RESTORATION'. I started a topic for my restoration under the 356 Projects forum.

Recently I experienced spiritual crises resulting in conversion (?) or backslidden (?) condition resulting in resulting in the project becoming a mild (?) Outlaw.

Is there a way to move my topic (Restoration 1964 356C Coupe 217115) under 356 Projects to the Outlaw corner, so I don't upset my Restoration brothers, or do I just suck it up and start and new topic under Outlaw and hope they don't find out.

I'm new to this Outlaw thing and i guess I am still trying to hide out.

Thanks,

Harry

LOL Harry ... think I know what you mean ... did I post my "I'd love to fix this old rusty shell and add a little while I'm in there" journal to the wrong forum? Seems so! Following your very similar journey with interest. Good luck!

Latest photos. Lots of work done. Will get better photos later. Rear seat pans replaced. Hood repaired and fitted. Lots of small holes cleaned up and filled.

Nose is being fitted and installed. Then floor pan.

Engine rebuild starting soon.
