Zims Autotechnik in Dallas can supply them in alloy with the correct reinforcements or in steel. Check to see if he has them in stock. I believe Steve Hough in Torrence CA also makes them to order. Look for Steve's add in the Registry mag.

Hi Tom,
I'm sure you know about the Fibersteel seats. I have had very good luck with them. They are strong and comfy in Speedster or GT width with high quality mounting hardware. If I were building a lightweight short distance car I would use the reinforced aluminum shells without upholstery. They look great.

Russ Rodriguez's "stuff" is great. No doubt about it. As for aluminum I saw the Zim replicas. Are these the shells you are referring to, Cliff?

Thanks,

I have never bought any, just seen them in cars without knowing where they came from. Emory Motorsports Facebook Photo Gallery is a good place to see them.

Simonsen in Denmark. I think Zim's is their agent. Check their site through the Club Resources listings. ...quality is very high.

I've found by chance some real pictures of these Czech speedster seats which have been bought by a french AT2 owner.

http://porsche356at2.skynetblogs.be/arc ... 27421.html

In short he said that the seats were sent wraped in bullpack and that the quality was not the one advertized and he added "You have been warned".

I have a pair of Simonsen Ali seats. they are works of art. So light and very rigid.

see pics, I intend to leave as is, just adding seat cushions!

for any Kiwi 356ers T1 to T5 they can borrow when I am not using them.
