Hi Conrad, any good shop with experience in 901 gearbox should be able to put it together, I’ll be also at rennsport Saturday, I’ll wear my blue groupe B T-shirt if I’m not by the car

I, for one, am looking forward to checking out your car at the reunion event tomorrow, Greg. I've been curious about it for awhile now so I'm excited to see it in person.
Best regards,

Has anyone else had trouble with the customer service at Windrush (WEVO)? It has been unbelievably difficult to arrange a simple phone call with someone there who has technical knowledge about their 5 speed.
It seems the owner has a strong aversion, even a phobia?, to talking on the phone.

He is too busy engineering and building wonderful stuff for our cars. Hayden is awsome!Edwin Ek wrote: ↑Wed Jul 10, 2019 8:59 am Has anyone else had trouble with the customer service at Windrush (WEVO)? OK, good news! If Jim gives him a recommendation, that does it.

Hi Edwin
Most technical answers can be given to you by any transmission builder that is familiar with 911/914 transmissions. The adaptation of the swing axle diff issues will only be relevant to the builder who does the job. IMHO the choice of the swing axle is not as good as the 911 conversions that Rod does with IRS. Since Hayden does not do complete units you must choose a real transmission builder who is able to do proper CWP setups and has access to axles fulcrum plates etc and can provide a good 901 core.

Re: Outlaw 5-Speed Trans (Split from Outlaw Engine thread)
We adapted a 901 5 speed with my 2.8 flat six without problems in my 356c. Motor revs to 7000 and 5 th gear still pulls hard but allows it to cruis on the freeway at 80-90 mph at 2500-3000 rpm

My 356c has a 901 5 so along with the 2.8 flat six that fit relatively smoothly easy. We used early 911 suspension geometry with updated components

The 914 had the tallest fifth gear but ran considerably higher freeway rpm than yours.
