#1 Post by Jon E. Askins »

Anyone see any good outlaw t-shirts lately or cool pics. I know they are out there and see them at shows time and again. Just thought I would ask.

I saw these

A while back Greg Banfill had mentioned to me he was working on a couple designs. Not sure if those ever got printed or not. One in particular was a really cool design.

Had a few of these made up a few months ago, a redo of a T-shirt I had from the early 1980's. I was sad when it was to far gone to wear anymore. It was my favorite Porsche T-shirt, so I made up some new ones.

Hi, I had these made up for the Nor Cal Vintage VW & Porsche Treffen. Don't know if they qualify to be an Outlaw T-shirt but I definitely embrace the Outlaw attitude! It is a Das Auto Motor Und Sport magazine from 1953 that I had photo shopped to promote the Nor Cal Treffen that I put on. They are available on the web site. The T-shirts are $15.00 and hoodies are $35.00.

Next's year show is on August 4th and I would love to see more Outlaws in attendance!

Michael

PS. Now that Greg's car is finished he has promised me it will be in attendance.

While getting ready for our local North Florida 356 brekkie on Saturday I came across a t-shirt that was sent to me this summer from Trevor in southern California. The tshirt is from Jack Staggs and I will take a pic to share in the next day or so.

Mine are VW and Porsche for my shop.
I could do a 356 only shirt as well if the call was there.

I designed an "Outlaw" shirt back in 2008. Used the Maltese Cross (earliest accepted logo for outlaw Porsche's from Dean Jeffries Kustom Karrera) and the coat of arms for the region in Germany where Porsche took the shield idea from. I figured without the full Porsche logo and purposely leaving out the Porsche name and full crest I was staying away from any infringement. Sure enough Miss Malone from PORSCHE sent me a nice note requesting I stop producing the shirt. I guess that makes it a TRUE Outlaw shirt? "You are associating your T-shirt with Porsche. Therefore, by that association you are infringing our brand by placing a confusingly similar Porsche Crest on your T-shirt." Big threat, lots of legalize and demands for $$$.
