I knocked out an Outlaw style cap, but used a cog cap instead of a plain one.

No 356 here to try it on at the moment so the VW had to do.

Nice welding, must be tig. I like the ribbed cap with the holes in the vertical piece, a nice combination. Nice job.

Keep in mind that there is / was a gasket sealing the original two parts that were swaged together. Tig welding heat killed that. You are now going to need to stop the cap from leaking when the tank is full.
