Hi All,
In thinking about a different look to personalise my 356 B coupe I was considering a combination of Rusty's polished metal and paint. I think a polished and clear coated bonnet and engine cover might be the go.
This occured to me when I had the bonnet stripped prior to repainting and I liked the naked metal contrast with the paint.
What do others think ?
Phillip

It would really complete it if you had the doors matching.

I think that you may need some welding goggles to drive it into the sun.

Give it a whirl. Whaddya got to lose? Looks cool!
If you decide to sell it, it would be easy to prove that there's no Bondo.

Darn !
When I checked with the painter, by the time I recieved the photos of the stripped and polished bonnet, he had already painted it.
Still, i like the look and the suggestion from Adam that the doors also be stripped to match the bonnet and engine cover so.... I have decided to investigate the cost of having those panels "wrapped" in a chrome finish.
Wont be a metal finish but could be a close approx with the advantage of easy reversal. instead of doing the whole door, I think perhaps a chrome "racing" roundel on each door ?
I wish I had the skills to photoshop it to see what it would look like.
