@Jim: I bought it from a man from TX who had some work done locally and the body work done by a joint in California - can't recall the name without a little help. It was in a couple different issues of the Registry. That Euro plate is THE physical plate that the Abarth proto-type left the factory with back in '59 I believe.

@Dick: If the comment above was intended for my car, let me know where you saw video - that'd be news to me:-) And if the man in TX or I gave a hoot about "remaining faithful to the real design" we'd have probably bought an Abarth instead of making/buying a vague replica. And you wouldn't find me in the "Outlaw" corner!

Hello , I am the happy owner and driver from an APAL GT Coupe .
My car drove Liege-Sofia-Liege and....
Please this is not a PORSCHE replica , it is an APAL with Porsche engineering , gearbox , brakes , instruments....
APAL is a bodywork company that construct cars , and after this in the late 80´s and 90´s make then Speedster replicas.

If you need more info´s , I can help .

Mike

Jeff, I am confused here. Your car is an Abarth-style outlaw with an actual Abarth license plate? And Dick, is Al L's replica the one that is lacking in the details? They both look very nice, regardless.

Not really a clone... Don't know how is it possible to compare both cars? Don't you?

I would go with, "inspired by".

That one with bumpers has a rear more inspired by an E-type I’d say. But it’s like looking at kids, there are often much different opinions on who they look like
