When this mag showed up in my mailbox 30 yrs ago, I was blown away by this outrageous (in a good way) outlaw that graced the cover. So much so, that I saved it all these years. When I pull it out today, I'm still impressed with the vision and workmanship that the Emorys put into it. Well Done!
Does anyone know if this car still exists?

Re: Vintage Outlaw
Oops! Got this in the wrong forum. Meant to put it in the Outlaw Corner. After three "time-outs", I got hung up on shrinking the scans, & blew it.

Yes, the car exists and is currently located in Anchorage, Alaska. I saw it at the Alaska region PCA 40 year party this summer. Very nicely executed, all in metal.

Re: Vintage Outlaw
Thanx, Bill. I'm pleased to hear that the car has survived.
If nothing else, this car is an interesting study in how little the basic body style of Porsche cars have changed over the years. When a craftsman can blend late model steel parts into an older vehicle such that the result looks like it came from the factory that way, the project provides mute testimony to the timeless design of the 356.

I remember that article too. This was when I was first getting into 356s...and those photos helped me decide that one day I would have one.
But at the time, all I could afford was a Karmann Ghia, which I proceeded to customize, whale-tail and all. Wish I had a couple photos of it today...
