Drum brakes are the wide five pattern, those wheels work on the disc brake cars

Mark
I used to run the 944 spares on my 63 B with drum brakes. I used the wide 5 to small 5 adapters from cb performance. I was running 195/60 15 tires with no rub on the body and no rub when turning.

A few of the bad qualities include: close proximity of rear tires to the body. The one side was so close, I could only get a piece of paper between the tire and he body. Also, there was a bit of front end vibration due to the non precison adapters. I cured the vibration by purchasing billet adapters from 356 specialties. Overall, I dont think I would go through the aggrevation again. If you go on the thread of everyones wheels, you will see a picture of a B with polished 944 spares.(page 5)

re-Bumping this thread.

Question, are there a type of lightweight wheel like these that can also use the stock 356C/early 911/912 hubcaps?

I'd love to have the light-weight benefit but keep the stock-ish look...I know, it's not very Outlaw to the general public, but still a performance upgrade.

Stock "C" or "912" hubcaps won't fit on those wheels because they don't have the
"bumps" to hold them in place. See attached picture of a stock C/912 wheel.
