Phoenix Outlaw

#1 Post by james gouge »

Hi
My 60 Cab (#s match, driver, currently running a Raby 2270-175, T-4) is going to Phx in 2 weeks. I have tried 2x to get hold of the AZ Outlaws but am having no luck. I am looking for a shop or a space to share in a shop while I do work on my car. I have a home in Sun City West, but because of CCR's, I cant do any serious work on it in my garage. I need to re-ring the 2270 and rebuild the original 1600S motor. I will of course pay for help and space. Maybe a good mechanic is all I really need? A contact # for an AZ Outlaw would help.

Any ideas or phone or email contacts in NW Phoenix?

Thx

hey - maybe try jim kaufman at carb rescue in sedona for some leads? http://www.356carburetorrescue.com/home.html

also, i'm a wa state attorney and i have a bunch of experience with homeowner association issues/litigation - i was curious about your CCR's - i routinely see clauses which state you cannot have an inoperable vehicle, viewable by your neighbors (outside), but i have never seen a restriction on working on a long term car project, outside of your neighbors view (in a garage) - maybe it's an AZ issue?

hope this helps - brad in seattle

As a past president and current board member of our 450+ HOA, I can tell you we do have prohibitions against non-running cars in front yards, or within view of others anywhere on a lot in our HOA, but not projects inside a garage, unless there is welding of any kind, or noise generating activities involved which is against city ordinance. Cars left on the street for more that 24 hours may be towed by the City.
