Out driving. Drove to SF for our 50th anniversary and took in the Fall Tour at Yosemity.
3001 mile round trip in the outlaw.
Big engine ran fine but earplugs are a must.
Sure could use a taller 4th gear! Ran 4000 RPM at 73 MPH.

Dumb as a box o' rocks!

Dave
I know. Being 66 years of age, the computer thing isn't all that second nature. What is cool is that you are not dumb as a box of rocks, your skills are focused on the things you learned during your ready period. Sometimes old dogs can learn new tricks, but mostly retired old dogs have nothing to do, so they discovered 356's and are having a great time. They take photos and then get stuck in the posting process. Meantime the very young with all sorts of tablets and i-phones are sending information around the world and changing everything and we just can get our pix up on the Registry! This is especially frustrating when the engine is running perfectly and the four speeds shift like butter and there's no wind noise except with the top down, sunroof open because all the seals are perfect. And yet...no photo for the faithful. Modern World: ya gotta luv it!! - Alex

Glad you liked the races. The track is not ideal for "momentum" cars; too many ridiculous hairpins.

Vic : looks like every one is alive! Had the C out driving yesterday, having trouble deciding what I want to do with it. Will post pictures in the next few days.

Yep all still out here! I'd like to think we are all too busy driving :D Speaking of driving and Vic Skirmants, I had a chance to chat a minute with him at the WCH, he got to see the gauges that he generously donated to my build installed in my car, good times! :D

Here is my 61 T5... currently a strange mix of Togo brown / UPS brown :)
The car will one day go back to Fjord green with light gray leather interior...but for now it's too much fun to drive!
Super engine, DRLA carbs, disc all over, 16" 911 turbo spares wheels powder coated with 195/60 tires on C discs . Koni all around, Rebel RSR torsion bar bushings, 19mm front anti sway bar, Vic Skirmants rear camber regulator. YOM 356 1956/61 plates :)
Was apparently not running since 1996..installed/fixed everything my self, and it runs pretty good now!!

Jeffrey,

Makes me want to do mine in grey. Very nice execution, how does it handle? Anything special to make it stick? Thanks for sharing your photos, do elaborate on the details when you have time, I sure there are many who'll be taking notes.

Beautiful color. Outstanding restoration. Love to see more pictures. Those rims really highlight the car!

Jeffrey, do you have any pictures on the fabrication of the knock off spinners on your wheels?
