I'm having a tough time sourcing light brackets that won't require drilling the bumper of my 1964 356 C. Any guidance in this area would be greatly appreciated. Any obvious solutions I am missing? Thanks, Todd McCormick.

You could do a bracket that attaches to the bumper mounting bar. Drilling a hole in those is a lot easier to go back from that the actual bumper.

There are brackets that show up on Ebay from time to time that bolt to the bumper bracket (not thru it). A number of our local members use them. VW guys use them too, maybe one of the Bug Houses have them for sale. KTF

Thanks Tom, I will look into that. I have seen pairs of these on Ebay advertised for VW/Porsche but didn't know if they would fit. I'll ask the seller specifically about the 356 application. Best, Todd.

Those brackets don't work with T6 cars. Further, most of the eBay brackets won't work either, by virtue of the tight confines of the bumper/body relationship. I'm resigned to making my own when I finally restore the car.

Marchal had it's own brackets in the fifties and sixties. They were called 'brevettes' and were from aluminum. Those 'brevettes' have a top and bottom part which are bolted together with the bumper clung between them...
