Dink Farmer Outlaw C Coupe: Yes, it started out as a C coupe
I'm going to let Jim Breazeale post the details about this car, he just asked me to take photos of it today at EASY since he didn't have his camera. All I will say right now is that this really did start out as a C coupe.

Here's some more photos. The rear decklid is sitting in the passenger seat. It's not hinged, so when you raise it you have to remove it and put it somewhere. I think the front hood is the same way, but I did not see it open.
By the way, the large gauge is the tach, the small gauge just to its left is the speedo!

This may be giving the authenticity boys heart palpitations, but I love it. It gives me heart palpitations too, but for entirely different reasons. Whew! What a beauty! 8) 8) 8)
That baby must FLY! I'm looking forward to reading Jim's posts about the engine.

Notice that the car has no place to put a front or rear license plate, and no front turn signals. It's an "outlaw" all right: I don't see how it is street legal in it's current form. Maybe you zip tie a rear plate to the grill and then indicate your turns with your left arm...

If so, I don't see how they could be seen in the daytime except from straight on. Though according to the California Vehicle Code at http://dmv.ca.gov/pubs/vctop/d12/vc24953.htm

So it looks like this outlaw complies with that law. Nice solution to making the turn signals "disappear" but not look to modern. Very sleek.V C Section 24953 Turn Signal Lamps wrote:24953. (a) Any turn signal system used to give a signal of intention to turn right or left shall project a flashing white or amber light visible to the front and a flashing red or amber light visible to the rear.

Dink must be a MASTER with the planishing hammer and english wheel...not to mention a few other tools! Look at that rear grille and the back half of the car!! Unreal craftsmanship!!
I remember a pic in the Registry Mag a few years back with one of his cars sitting on four 55 gallon drums in his shop. Raised front and rear wheel wells and a bunch of other mods that I could spot from a tiny pic. I don't think it's the same car, though.
I've got to see some build pics of this thing. Does anyone know him enough to get him to post up some progress shots?
Thanks! K

I'm going to get Dink to provide some shots of the build and also will post facts about the drive train and suspension. If there are any specific questions anybody has, just ask them here or Email me and I will get those answers for you.

Bringing this back from the dead. That has to be the coolest outlaw I've ever seen (and there's a bunch of awesome ones, obviously). Are there more pictures of this?
