Hi all-
Could anyone point me in the direction of how I could fabricate a '1600 Super' emblem with a number that is closer to what's under the lid?

Ron, Cut off the 6, turn it 180 degrees and glue it back on.

Re: Fabricating emblems
Years ago, I got some aluminum plate the thickness of the emblems for my 55 coupe. I digitized the Porsche script and the 1500 script and then had this data used to wire edm the emblems out of the plate. After that the graining along the bottom strip of the script was matched to the closest I could find from a local injection molding shop. They put that grain on the bottom of the scripts. No studs. Used molding tape to mount them. Still on the car.

Go to an old school jeweler, he can cut the 6 off and turn it upside down and "weld" the 9 on or he can create a whole new number for you, and he can probably gold plate it for you too
