1960 T5 1600 Super Instrument/Gauge Positions...

#1 Post by Tom Dux »

Hello All...

New here and new to the 356. Recently acquired a ‘60 T5 Super. My question is it APPEARS that maybe my gauges have been moved. From left to right my car is; MPH, Tach and multi gauge (see photo). Every picture I see of ‘60 356 it has the MPH and multi gauge swapped. Is it possible that mine could be original configuration as is? They don’t APPEAR to have been swapped on the back side, ie. no strange wire routing or tension etc. Thank you!!

Tom

Yes, your combo and speedo have been reversed. Only the early T1 A cars had this set-up

Hello Tom

RHD cars are like yours.
The speedometer cable had to be longer as well.

Regards
David

Definitely reversed, even in Canada.

For sure revised, cause our original T5 has the opposite setup.
