I recently received my Karosserie Reutter Certificate of Production for my 55 Speedster.In it it has a build sheet. It has a transparent sheet over the left side explaining what equipment they are describing but no explanations for the descriptions. I went to a German to English translation book and it helped me identify almost every word. Example hellgrau = light gray. What I didn't understand was the description for the wheels. "Rader" = wheels and the description was "Chromeffektlack". In looking this up it seemed to mean chrome effect. So question is, does this mean chrome wheels? Trim rings? Silver Painted?

Hi, How do I go about obtaining the Karosserie Reutter Certificate of Production. I am starting a rotisserie restoration of my 64 356C. Apparently it has a rare factory electric sunroof and I am trying to get the facts for it.

My Certificate has the same description, but as fas as i understand from a Porsche Classic centre this is not silver nor chrome but some kind of coating.
Chrome effect lack would be more chiny than silver i would think.

Any other with this description ?
What would be the description with painted wheels in silver or exterior color?

I have not. Chrome or Silver paint, or body color way back...

Don is correct. Chromeffektlack means that the wheels were painted silver lacquer. It was not a paint that was made to look shiny like lacquer.
