T 1 Oil Temp/Fuel Gauges

#1 Post by Brett Johnson »

Does your fuel gauge say:

1) GASOLIN
2) TANK
3) KRAFTSTOFF

Chassis numbers and build date (delivery date) help. Contact me offline, if you want: 356drb@indy.net

I'm just looking for info on 1956 - 1957 356A T 1 cars. BUT I'd like a high res. photo of the center dash panel with the little Porsche script!

Yea, I noticed the T1 after I hit submit. I'll email some photos of the radio delete panel.

Here is a Euro T1 and a USA Spec T1

Euro = numbered scale in celcius and Kraftstoff, and it says OEL TEMP

USA = Numbered scale in fahrenheit and Gasolin, it says OIL TEMP - both my early USA spec 6 digit cars have this type (early / mid 57).

The large center buttons seem to have lasted through May/June of '56. They are an interesting early T1 detail.
