High Over Rider front bumper guards ????

#1 Post by Greg Stout »

All I see available 'out there' are the Low over rider guards available....does/did anyone ever make the 'High' style guards after market ?????
OR....does anyone have a "driver" quality set ???? I have several 'Low' guards, no 'High'....and I'm feeling kind of low about it.

Call Stoddard Greg. I was told last year that they were going to reproduce some of the high bumper guards early this year. I think this may be because they recognized there was a shortage because it was such a low volume market it was ignored for so long.
If I had known I would live this long I would have pushed the envelope a little harder.

Thanks David....I have to decide, 'shorten' (cut and reweld the bolt bosses) my high bar to fit the low guards...or find buy some high bar guards...or modify the low bar guards to accept the high bar....there are a lot of ways to piss of the 'Purests' here. By the way, who's that kind looking gentleman in the red jacket, with you in your picture ???? ;-}
I appreciate your encouragement and information.

If you are looking I can probably help you. I bought several in years back as they would come up for sale. If you would like I can send some pictures of what I have- NOS to decent used.

Our 356 Chat guy, Adam Wright, has those guards on Ebay right now! see https://www.ebay.com/itm/Porsche-356-A- ... OSw-GNcEpl~ Those are original and from the photos they appear to be very good, close to new, condition. It will still be some time for new repros to come to market.
