Karmann Hardtop front lid "texture"

Did Karmann Hardtops (Notchbacks) have sound deadening "texture" on the inside of the front lid like later coupes?

Yes.
Currently working on a very original 61 Notchback which has a hood with a textured underside.

Yes 200408 had/has the texture on the front hood.

Do not know much about the hardtops. Is the texture fine like that on the early '56 cars or more coarse like that seen under the front hood of early 911's?
