In 1963 jack receivers changed from 90 degree welds to overlap welds. The information I have in the current Authenticity book is that the change occurred between these points. Can anyone further narrow this or provide other data points around the cabriolet change?

Coupe Karmann: 213720 90° 215050 Overlap

Coupe Reutter: 124562 90° 126711 Overlap

Cabriolet: 159152 90° 159144 Overlap

158420 was the 90 degree overlap, and that was mid-May 1963.
