Here's one we all can do! Take a look up behind your left front wheel and look for one of these. What have you got? Does it look different than any of these? If so send picture. Are these dates correct?
Left to right.
1958 (T 2) - on
1956 (356A T 1)
1951 - 1955
Very early

This hidden serial number thing reminds me of a gun collector's story.
This guy saw a Colt 1911 with a serial number ending in "xxx". He asked the seller about that; his reply: well, all the nice guns in the books have a number like that. I think I'll stamp a data plate with all "xxxxx". Should be pretty rare.

Im a relative newcomer to 356's but his old book is great and a real resource. Dont we all want a new updated book?
