Having not mine originals, I ordered these reproduction directly from Reutter classic (by ERLKÖNIG CLASSIC), included the punched numbers.
My concerns are about the correct dimensions because seems mine are not cut as small as needed, because I can still see the outer delimitation black lines.
And the holes are too big for the correct pins (1,5 mm) that fits in an original hinge cover.
The measures are:
bigger (4 holes, Reutter KAROSSERIE) 36,5 x 22,5 x (thickness) 0,5 mm
smaller (2 holes Kunstharzlack) 38,5 x 16,5 x (thickness) 0,5 mm
Could be someone that have around original tags so kind to provide me the correct dimension, also for the diameter of the fixing holes?
Are the punched numbers correct in shape and font?
Thanks.
Are these ERLKÖNIG CLASSIC Reutter VIN / color tag correct?

Re: Correctness of color and VIN door hinge tags
Would be nice to have at least the size (length and height) of a legitimated pair of original tags.
Measurements can be done on the car, with a caliber, without remove anything.
Thanks.

Re: Are these ERLKÖNIG CLASSIC Reutter VIN / color tag corre
When I restored my car, I had to replace the Karmann hinge cover tag. It was not quite the right size and the holes didn't exactly line up with the original ones.
