Hi All,
I am working on a T-5 Coupe that has factory listed Radio, Antenna, and speakers on the Kardex. This is the antenna that was present on the car. Is this Hirschmann antenna appropriate for this car. The date on the Kardex is 7 - 1960. Also, this antenna is very stuck. Any advice on freeing up a stuck antenna?
Thanks,
Eric L.

Acetone and transmission fluid at 50:50 mix. Put a couple drops at each slip joint , let it sit overnight, and repeate, try twisting each section by hand, except the outer tune. The brass under the chrome will have corroded and swelled, but the mixture will soften and dissolve the green stuff.

The black tip Hirschmanns date from the mid-1960s. I have one that came off my brother's tourist delivery 1967 VW Squareback and still have the original paperwork somewhere

The black tips were more common on the T-6 and later cars. On a T-5 I would expect a Wisi or red tip Hirschmann. However there are always exceptions. Check my article in the magazine years back
