Photos of a correctly restored starter for a 64

#1 Post by Dave Whittick »

I'd appreciate any photos of correctly refinished starter motors. I'm looking for proper finishes for the various components.

Thanks in advance.

I can't really say this is correct, but I doubt I changed much when I cleaned mine up years ago. Black Rustoleum. I do not recall changing anything to black from any other finish. Actually the finish was fairly well preserved in gunk as you can see from the photo. I simply cleaned and spray painted.

Hope this helps
