Hello,
Can someone tell me if this badge on my 1959 356A is authentic?
The font size that goes around the border seems too small.
Thank you,
Ben

Re: Reutter Badge 356-a Authentic
I'm searching high and low for proper position of Reutter badge, I look through books by Kellogg, Johnson, and Roland... no luck on exact spacing, just general information. I came across this template
I also found some spacing info from and older post: viewtopic.php?f=1&t=2147
The location of the Reutter coachbuilder badge on a 356A coupe, built 11/20/58, is as follows:
The bottom center of the badge is 5 3/4" from the edge of the rocker.
The center right edge of the badge is 2 3/4" inches from the rear edge of the fender.
Thank you,
Ben
PS if anyone has an original badge they would like to sell me please let me know.
and i was wondering if someone could confirm that it is correct. It came from a replica-speedster forum... please don't tell me they have more information about authentic cars then we do!!))I also found some spacing info from and older post: viewtopic.php?f=1&t=2147
