1964 Blaupunkt Frankfurt reproduction buttons

#1 Post by Dave Whittick »

Can anybody suggest a source for replacing the faded and worn North American spec buttons for my Frankfurt?

Thanks for the suggestion and link. I've been able to find the knobs but I was hoping to find the station press buttons that say AM and FM.

With a little experimentation you may be able to polish them and put white paint into the letters. Ordinary rubbing compound will probably freshen up the black plastic.

Martin's correct. I polished mine and used white paint to redo the letters.

I’ve already polished them but they appear quite brown especially compared to the reproduction knobs I have.

There are buttons listed on on eBay but I'm not sure if they are for the Blaupunkt Frankfurt. Sometimes the attaching tabs are different.
