Factory Seat Belt Copy?
Check out eBay #111142890141 and 111142889056. They look pretty close to original 356 factory seatbelt buckles although some subtle differences in clasp and web handling design. Interesting.

Originals were made by Teka Automaten. If you have ever seen originals, sometimes you can see the stamping of the maker name on the belt.

Paul,
Yes, I have a pair but the ink stamping on the webbing on mine is a little too faded and I didn't ID the "U" inside a shield and the star-like stampings on the buckle back. I just thought these were interesting. I've never seen anything close to factory belt buckles until now. Of course the webbing is way off base. You'll see mine in Georgia next month.

Re: Factory Seat Belt Copy?
I’m still learning…
The earliest Tekas were with the 5-pinstriped webbing and the chrome lifts were engraved on the lifting edge with “TEKA”. The webbing ends were finished with fabric loops to contain them with the belt lengths while in tension. Not sure of the transition date from pinstriped to the uniform grey webbing.
